Samsung achieved massive success with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and everything about it was just outstanding: The 5.7 inch display, upgraded specs and amazing features made it a hit and the bestselling device by Samsung last year. It’s almost time for its successor, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and with the competition amassing up; Samsung has a lot of pressure to deliver. It will be competing with the biggie-sized iPhone 6 so the company must win the hearts of the world with the Galaxy Note 4. As we wait for the official launch, let’s have a look at what the Galaxy Note 4 has to offer.
Design: We might get Two Variants
The company is set to introduce the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in two variants but there is as added twist. One of the versions will be a premium meaning the not only will it sport a curved three sided display but is also set to come in a metal body. On the other hand, the other version will have a flat standard display and most likely a plastic body.
Rumors suggest that it will come with the same color selections as the Galaxy Note 3: Shimmery white, Copper Gold, Electric Blue, and Charcoal Black.
Despite the Samsung Galaxy being rumored to come with the same 5.7 inches display just like the Galaxy Note 3, it will sport a new Quad HD AMOLED display. This will bring about that added glare to the huge screen.
Some rumors suggest that the Galaxy Note 4 might comewith a sharp 16 MP camera but the International Business Times suggest that Samsung might downgrade the camera to 12 MP from the 13 MP we saw in the Galaxy Note 3. But then again, it will have a higher quality lens with a dual LED flash as well as Optical Image Stabilization. The front facing camera will be upgraded just a little bit to 2.1 MP.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is rumored to sport a Snapdragon 805 processor which will bring an advanced LTE. It might also feature a UV sensor which will be integrated in the S Health app. The Galaxy Note 4 is also set to come with a fingerprint scanner to ensure and give additional security. The RAM will be either 3 GB or 4 GB with internal storage being 32 GB or 64 GB with external microSD card support expandable up to 128 GB. It will also feature a microUSB 3.0 and an Exynos 5433 chip.
Battery and Operating System
Even though we have not heard much about the battery, it is expected to be a mAh lithium ion battery in the range of 3200 to 3600. The OS will depend on whether Google will have made the Android L ready before the launch but that is highly unlikely to happen so we might see Android 4.4 KitKat in the Galaxy Note 4.
Price and Release date
The price of the Galaxy Note 4 is rumored to be in the range of $750-800$ so you better start saving. Samsung announced the release date to be September 3 at the annual IFA event in Berlin Germany so we can expect the Smartphone on late September or early October.
